I think it would be far better for tyrants to be able to use chemical weapons in a consequence free environment.
Even the French are on board, and whilst I don't want to use the 'cheese eating surrender monkey' label glibly, they have always been flighty at best.

Because we don't live in Disneyland.
Are you advocating bombing Russia?

We couldn't. Austerity, you know. We could probably nuke them though, if Trump let's us use the Tridents. Even then, they'd probably get shot down.

If I have a problem with all this, it's that we still feel the need to get involved. Since Suez, and we had the Grenada reminder, it's been abundantly clear that the U.K.'s scope for unilateral military action is limited at best. If the U.S. had objected to the Falklands War it couldn't have happened.
It's a very simple fact we wouldn't have bombed Syria without the U.S., and it makes Corbyn's comments especially vacuous.
However, and this is probably our role now given we maintain our seat on the U.N. Security Council, and it was abused in the Iraq war, we can provide political cover by being involved for actions 'we' deem to be right. When it comes to the 'we' the parliamentary argument does need to be resolved.
In this case, when a guy is using chemical weapons against human beings, it doesn't feel like we're in the wrong of it to be one of those who says no, and it's one of those where we may not have got involved previously against others, but being wrong again because you've been wrong before doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.

I would not be surprised if the rebels have been supplied chemical weapons all along by the CIA in order to create a false flag operation.

I would, if only because the CIA have been in the game long enough to know that sort of shit always blows up in their faces.

BoJo the clown said they were responsible for the dude in Salisbury.
So morally we have to bomb their chemical facilities.
Anything less would be hypocritical

No it really wouldn't. There's myriad differences between the two.
Even without the realpolitik of the situation......and if you think it's hypocritical, then welcome to the grown up world. Appreciate that's condescending, but come on.
