No, it's tragic.  I can only imagine how hard it must be for that poor woman.

I have a very elderly cousin with prostate cancer, who's desperate to go into a nursing home.  He receives four visits a day from carers, plus visits every couple of days from a district nurse.  I've arranged an NHS assessment for next Wednesday, which was like pulling teeth, and have been told it could take up to 28 working days before a decision is made on whether he will get NHS fully funded or part-funded care (I'm positive he'll be turned down).  Fortunately, he has a house to sell, so at least he'll have choice as to which home he goes to.

I don't know what the answer is, frankly.  We have a large elderly population, which of course will only get worse as the years go by - remember today's elderly people were young at a time when the population of the UK was only 50 million.  The population in 2010 was 62 million so when today's young people are old it'll be far worse.

And the situation can only be made worse by the Brexit caper.

Ah but you forget mate,£350 million per week will be going to the NHS so all will be well, and the UK will be a Utopia that will make the rest of  the world very jealous of us!

Even Führage agrees with that. "I would never have made that claim. That was one of the mistakes that I think the Leave campaign made", he said on the day after the referendum. He's a habitual liar and pretty soon, when the awful truth eventually dawns on him, he'll be claiming he never actually wanted to leave.
