Obviously they will consider a move....but bear in mind that by far the largest market for the Mini is China at 570,899 units, followed by Germany at 255,582, USA at 202,202, UK 166'687, other EU at around 150.000

Total EU sales (inc Germany) is less than sales to China alone

Depending upon what terms we can achieve, it could well be more profitable to BMW to retain production outside the EU. Non EU markets (mainly UK, China, USA, and Russia amount to around 1,800,000

EU       = 400,000 units
Non EU = 1,400,000 units

We don't yet know the effect Brexit will have on trade tariffs with RoW, it may well be beneficial to exports to non EU countries. Makes sense to look at the biggest markets rather than concentrating solely on EE

....but by all means rejoice in the possibility that UK may suffer Roll Eyes

Why do I get the impression that certain folk WANT the UK to fail just so that they can say 'told you so'

Pathetic

Believe me, since I have not heard of BMW 'cancelling' any 'contract' that could possibly be related to Brexit, I have trawled every possible avenue and STILL cannot find anything

So far as I can see 'someone' has 'suggested' that BMW may move production of their electric vehicles to Germany.

BMW have said that they are 'looking into various' possibilities and have not denied that such a move is one of the possibilities and say that they will make a decision toward the end of 2017

No mention anywhere of anything being cancelled, or indeed of any 'contract'

Please tell us WHAT 'contract' they have 'cancelled'

I am beginning to suspect that this is yet another figment of your imagination

Yes, it works.

That is my understanding of it

They are (understandably) considering their options and MAY move production

My point is that there is NO commitment either way at present to make that move AND there is NO 'contract' so it cannot have been 'cancelled' as the thread title indicates

In short the thread title is  total fiction

Every time I investigate Myky's headlines he always seems to leave out the following words.

Might, maybe, could, may.
