That's not at all sinister.

Remember 'Lou Knee'? Now the clue may have been in the name, but I'd log in specifically to argue with him. He was mental, but he had an opinion.

Mr F. fell or falls in to that category.

I've said it before, but I used to be regarded as a 'lefty' on this board, I now find myself as the dissenting opinion. It's weird. If this is truly a 'Great World Debate' then let everyone post.

How offended is anyone by what any keyboard warrior actually types? Is it so offensive it needs to be banned for life?

The board is very quiet, and to be fair it seems to be because everyone agrees with each other, which means it isn't really a debate aside from people who like each other saying 'this is where I'm going on holiday'.

I agree.

I would not be surprised if the rebels have been supplied chemical weapons all along by the CIA in order to create a false flag operation.

We couldn't. Austerity, you know. We could probably nuke them though, if Trump let's us use the Tridents. Even then, they'd probably get shot down.

If I have a problem with all this, it's that we still feel the need to get involved. Since Suez, and we had the Grenada reminder, it's been abundantly clear that the U.K.'s scope for unilateral military action is limited at best. If the U.S. had objected to the Falklands War it couldn't have happened.

It's a very simple fact we wouldn't have bombed Syria without the U.S., and it makes Corbyn's comments especially vacuous.

However, and this is probably our role now given we maintain our seat on the U.N. Security Council, and it was abused in the Iraq war, we can provide political cover by being involved for actions 'we' deem to be right. When it comes to the 'we' the parliamentary argument does need to be resolved.

In this case, when a guy is using chemical weapons against human beings, it doesn't feel like we're in the wrong of it to be one of those who says no, and it's one of those where we may not have got involved previously against others, but being wrong again because you've been wrong before doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.

Because we don't live in Disneyland.

Are you advocating bombing Russia?

The biggest stress on the nhs is an ageing population.

What do YOU think it is ? Do you have an opinion or are you just capable of glibly deriding others ?

Whoa whoa whoa there tiger.

Whilst I can't deny that I do love glibly deriding people, and I really do.....

I'm not arguing with your prognosis, I was merely pointing out that people living longer isn't either 'a' or 'the' problem. It should in fact be celebrated. The NHS faces changes because of the very people it keeps alive, it's almost a paradox.

If the system was originally set up to cope with people living three score years and ten, and that is no longer the case, then the answer is to change or tweak the system, not moan about pesky old people clinging on to their mortal coil.......and that's the same with pensions as it is to the NHS.....and there are two options, either we pay more, or we provide less. I don't see it as a problem, I see it as a fait accompli that we need to adapt to.

I do have a problem with you saying, and you did a bit, that the problem with the health service is elderly Tory voters not dying like they used to, which is pretty fucking cold no matter which way you dress it up. Only you can say why you brought Brexit, austerity and outsourcing into it, but it feels a bit scattergun if we're being honest.

The internet. Aggressive murdering type thugs can now take out their hate on chat boards or comment sections.

But enough about MrF.

Amazingly I have a fully functioning kick arse liver  Cool

Me too, incredibly. And kidneys. It's part of the Venerable Bede's never-surpassed feat of genetic engineering that created us Geordie Border Guards many centuries ago when the Scots were threatening invasion.
